Question 1

What is Bible MCP Server?

Accepted Answer

A credits-only Model Context Protocol server that gives AI clients licensed Scripture tools. ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and custom agents call the same 15 tools. Every answer starts from retrieved text.

Question 2

How do I get an API key?

Accepted Answer

Open Account, issue a test key, and copy the bmcp_test_ token. Remote clients can also complete OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Signup grants 100 credits.

Question 3

Which clients are supported?

Accepted Answer

ChatGPT (connectors and GPT Actions), Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code / Copilot, Windsurf, and any client that speaks Streamable HTTP MCP.

Question 4

How do credits and pricing work?

Accepted Answer

Sign in to purchase. Tools cost 1 to 3 credits. Choose $5 to $500. $9 is 1,000 credits, $29 is 4,000, and $99 is 15,000, with cheaper rates on larger amounts. Checkout is Stripe test mode. Live cards are rejected in test mode.

Question 5

Does this invent Bible verses?

Accepted Answer

No. Passage tools fetch licensed text. Study and chat tools run a scripture-first pipeline and must not invent references. Always verify important claims in the Bible itself.

Question 6

How is Emet Faith related?

Accepted Answer

Emet Faith is the Scripture-first Bible app built on these same MCP tools. Use this server from your own agents, or open Emet Faith on the web, the App Store, or Google Play.
